Office Manager – Leah Cell

Leah was born and raised in Garden City, Michigan. She graduated from Garden City West Senior High. In Garden City she met and married her husband, Kevin, and they have been happily married since 1981.

As an Army wife, she traveled with her husband during his military career and lived in many places including Ludiwici and Columbus, Georgia; as well as Neu Ulm, West Germany (where her two sons were born). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family which includes my two dogs and two cats; spending time with friends; camping and other outdoor activities, as well as reading. She also likes to volunteer in her community through her church as well as other organizations. Leah is currently a volunteer with the US Military Hall of Fame.

In her role as the full-time Office Manager, Leah is the contact person for questions and answers related to the church as well as handling the day to day operations of the office.

Music Director - Brian Bogdanowitz

Greetings and Blessings to all.  Let me introduce myself, I’m Brian Bogdanowitz.  Hello!!!  I am the organist and choir director of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and I’m very happy to be here.  I have been playing the organ since I was 13 years old.  I majored in organ, piano and voice in college with my degree of study in the Bachelor of Church Music program. I also studied at Princeton Theological Seminary and Westminster Choir College in Princeton N.J.  I am also a very accomplished theater organist.  I compose scores for silent movies and perform them live.  I have also composed a Sonata for Trumpet and Organ, a Violin Duet with Piano, a Christmas Medley for Brass Quintet and Organ, a Mass for the Catholic Church, and many others.  I am also a master improviser.  I have performed two concerts with the Toledo Symphony and concertized in many churches and cathedrals throughout the country.  I have also appeared on TV many times playing the organ in concert.  I am very happy to be at Emmanuel and look forward to worshiping with you and drawing us all closer to God with our music and praise.  “Let us make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Altar Guild Director - Christina Cartwright

A bit about me.  I’m a Special education teacher at 3 elementary schools in Petoskey. Which accounts for my craziness some daysJ I’ve been at Emmanuel for about 10 years and was received about 4 years ago.  I have a wonderful husband, who is quite handy, and 2 great children, Ryan and Shannon. I have helped with the youth education, stewardship and been part of the EFM group.   I do truly find peace of mind and fellowship with God performing altar guild duties.
